A friend of mine purchased a "Prada" wallet from here. After she received it, we compared the authentication cards to ones I had for a purse I bought just recently. The quality was terrible and now my friend can't get in touch with them to get her money back! Their about us page has the standard "we sell authentic designer merchandise for unbelievable prices" and a guarantee of authenticity and customer satisfaction. They provide the dust bag, authentication cards, etc... all fake of course. It's mostly Prada, but they definitely aren't real and they're selling some products for close to retail! (mainly the sunglasses)

Hi Escada...welcome! I'm sooo sorry your friend was a victim to these scamming web sites. There are a lot of people here who have been scammed on eBay or by an unscrupulous web site. Some people have been scammed more than once. Hopefully you will be able to educate her about what to look for in the future since there are a few great resources to get opinions...this site being one of them. Knowledge is power.

It is very difficult to get these sites removed. I've tried countless times and have yet to be successful.

Is the place she got it from in the US? If so, have her contact the DA in that county to file a report.

Thanks for the suggestion. My friend did say it was sent from Miami, FL. I'll have to let her know to try that!!

If sent USPS it is possible that this is a case of mail fraud too.

If your friend paid with a credit card, she can dispute the charge with the credit card company. They will credit her account and the seller will get a chargeback. I find that this is often the first and easiest solution for getting a refund. Then if she wants to pursue the issue with the authorities, she can do so but at least she won't be out any money.
