I am new to designer bags. I saw a cheap one on ebay. But after bidding and winning, I found an article that mentions replica/fake designer bags. This may sound foolish but honestly I had no idea about it existing or that so many fake designer brand actually exist! And now I'm in need of help whether the purse I won is authentic or fake. Can anyone tell me whether this purse is 100% authentic? It says it is on page but I asked the seller again, and now they are telling me they are unsure and to look at their return policy, which suggest that if it is then I can return it though I'd be loosing a few bucks. I am trying to get this as present for someone and I really don't want to buy a fake one if it is. I want to make sure before I actually pay for this. :/ I'm getting paranoid now about buying on ebay.

You need Looney to look at it. She is one of the Dooney experts. Next time put the type of bag in the heading to flag the expert for that bag. I will try to edit it. I Sold It stores sell on consignment. They sell fake stuff all the time. Some of the stuff they sell is authentic, but they take no responsibility for identifying if something is authentic or not and it drives us crazy. Ebay sells them franchises so they are slow to pull their fake junk.

I've owned and sold a few authentic Dooney's in the past, and what's really bothering me is "Your Made IN" white tag that's showing. None of the authentic Dooney's I have ever owned had that white interior tag stuck or sewn in beside the D&B label on the handbags interior. I've owned the all leather water resistant Australian leather Dooney Satchel and the Canvas & leather trim Dooney Bucket bag, and neither one of them had the white tag showing beside the Dooney creed tag.

Please wait for 2LooneyForDooney's comments first as she may know if Dooney has added the white interior "Made In" tag label beside their interior creed tag. None of the authentic Dooney handbags I've ever owned shows this white tag. She's far more knowledgeable and can confirm this as well for you to be sure. Dooney may have made a few changes since I last purchased any of their handbag items.

Ah. I've posted on another place to ask what they think and most of them said it doesn't look authentic though I guess they are also not quite sure since they've never seen that kind of style of bag.

I don't mean to bug anyone but does anyone know when 2LooneyForDooney will be able to tell me whether this is authentic or not? 4 days has passed now and I need to pay for the item very soon so I don't get a unpaid strike. I believe it is part of a 3-pc. set that was made for QVC. The original set has a bag, a keychain and a wristlet. (Some sellers have split the set and sold the pieces individually.) hope I'm not too late with the answer.

Cheayo...I've purchased a couple of authentic Louis Vuitton items though iSoldIt franchises. I particularly like the ones who authenticate prior to sale. I was one of those at one time who didn't trust iSoldIt merchandise since I saw it as a pipeline for people to offload their counterfeit merchandise. You have to be pretty savvy to buy from these places since more of these franchises have no idea that the items they are seller are real or fake as they are being duped by their customers.

Dooney has several exclusive styles that are sold on QVC and are typically done up in sets like what you bought. I thought what you bought looked authentic but always defer to my friend 2Looney as she is a Dooney expert.

Good luck to you with future purchases. Feel free to ask here or on the eBay purse board prior to bidding. It can save you a lot of heartache down the road and make you a savvy eBay shopper. :--)
