Hello Everyone! Thanks so much to Wendy for her email!!! I have a question - as I am new at this, please forgive me if it sounds stupid. If some of the designers, such as Coach, have some products (older) Made in USA and some products Made in CHina- doesn't it make it that much more difficult to tell authentic items from fakes?
I mean, if I see Made in CHina on a tag...it makes me think it is a fake. On the other hand, I bought a couple of purses that said Made in Italy or Made in France that I found were fakes.

It's such a difficult thing! I admire all of you who can spot them on sight!

I believe almost all Coach is now made in China. The USA stuff is considered vintage if I recall correctly.

Louis Vuitton fakes won't have Made in China since they don't have manufacturing facilities in China...only Europe and the USA I believe. There are fake LV's made in China that will have Made in France, Made in the USA or Made in Spain on them. I guess what I'm saying is when it comes to counterfeit goods the maker won't be truthful regarding where it's made. After all they are scammers trying to create an item that will look real including the Made in tags.

Thanks, Wendy! I'm tryinng to educate myself..lol...with the assistane of folks like you. I have purchased a vintage Coach for resale, that from all evidence appears to be authentic... and I purchased a small lot with a new Coach in it that I am attempting to authenticate... I'll be much more careful in the future!! Thanks for the "heads up" on the LV!
