I just bought a Gucci bag from ebay. I still don't have the bag but I've already paid for it. I just want to ask you experts if you think I bought a real or fake bag. Thanks!

Here's the link to the ended auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...e=STRK:MEWNX:IT

I asked the seller a close up picture of the "Gucci made in italy" tag as well as the serial numbers. I have those pics but I don't know how to post them here :-)

Hello,

To post pictures you need to save them to your hard drive, click on the browse button to search on your hard drive for the pics, then click the upload botton that's located in the bottom right of the input screen titled Manage Current Attachments.

Gucci Pelham looks OK but would like to get the other Gucci experts input as well in case I'm wrong. This is a very highly counterfeited style bag in mirror copy fakes. I'll PM and ask them to take a look.

Thanks Hermes! :-) I still don't see the "browse" button to insert pictures. I can see an "insert image" button but it asks me to enter a URL.

The browse button is located in the bottom right corner right below the screen where you type info to be posted on the forum. You'll see the browse button and beside the browse button, you'll see the upload button for the pictures to be inserted into your post.

To determine I would need to see a straight shot (close up) of the serial number and made in italy. Would like to see the engraving on the underside of the interior pocket zipper also if possible.

Did you notice his "girlfriend" as mentioned in the Chanel auctions, went to his wife in this auction?

Hermes check the Chanel bag he sold (check the serial number) It appears to be directly on the leather not on an interior leather tab.

OH gosh...another girlfriend/wife story to sell a handbag.

This seller has also sold this same Gucci Gucccissima Medium Pelham back to back. One on March 14 and the other bag on March 15. $725 and $750 is very cheap for an authentic Guccissima Medium Pelham handbag sells for $2,450 (not including the luxury taxes) IMO that's never been placed on sale or reduced by Gucci, nor at their authorized retailers. The Gucci/Guccissima Pelham bag is one of Gucci's top selling bags that does not have to be placed on sale since it sells off their shelf's without a sale price.

2 of the same Guccissima Medium Pelham bags sold.

I would like to see the interior Chanel creed tag that's not shown. Here's another Chanel Chain East West Modern Chain Tote that has their serial located in the same located as this seller.

This bag is very slightly used, my wife had used it a total of about 7 times.

Do you girls not find this odd that a husband (boyfriend) what ever this guy is to her-would know EXACTLY how many times she carried a purse? My husband would have no idea nor would he care LOL!
"the wife-girlfriend" sure has a lot of high end bags that she uses only a few times. If they are that well off that she can buy so many bags and barely use them-why do they need the money to sell them on eBay.
I personally would stay clear of this seller. But this is me. The guy is a scammer. Buying counterfeits and trying to pass them off as authentic. He can't even keep his story straight. No woman that I know owns two identical high end bags.

Q: The bag looks like its patent leather but you wrote, "Light Beige Jacquard Fabric trimmed." Can you please clarify. Thanks. Mar-13-10
A: Hello, I am unsure of the technical color. I will do some research and find out if it is indeed patent leather. I am really sorry but please understand I am no expert, I buy them and that's usually it. I just need money right now... unexpected finaciqp trouble...

Hi. Sorry, it took me a while to get back on and check your replies. Yes, the girlfriend/wife story seemed kind of odd. I figured he married his girlfriend between december and now, LOL. Anyways, he didn't sell two of these bags. It is the same bag. The winning bidder wanted a discount off his winning bid (so the seller said), so he cancelled the transaction and reposted the bag with a BIN, which I clicked. I was actually watching the bag and had missed bidding on it by a few seconds because my son distracted me, so when I saw it was relisted, I clicked the BIN.

I actually had the same bag authenticated at the purse blog before the original auction ended and the people there said it was authentic, so I was kind of bummed when I missed the original auction and was quite happy when I saw that it was relisted. I did ask the seller to send me close ups of the serial numbers and gucci tags which he promptly sent me and I posted at the purse blog. I wasn't able to post it here as I cannot see an insert photo button anywhere.

I thought about it just now and I will just post a link to the pictures I posted on the purse blog. Here's the link: http://forum.purseblog.com/gucci/authentic...-566215-25.html

Mine is the 6th post from the top (same user id). I still haven't received the bag as it is being shipped internationally. I really hope this bag is authentic as I have already fallen victim in ebay before. That is why I am being extra sure this time by having a lot of people help me with the bag's authenticity.

Thank you very much for your help :-)

I agree with the TPF experts. I thought the bag looked OK also, but wanted other opinions.

Thank you so much, Hermes! It is such a relief that a lot of you think the bag is authentic. I can rest easy now, LOL. Thanks again for your help! 02biggrin.gif

I bought a bag on ebay but I don't know the Gucci brand very well. Could I get a fourth opinion on whether this might be real (I had two who said not real, one who said real)? Thank you so much.

Hi Nadanique and welcome. 56wave.gif

The Gucci bag you have posted pictures of is 100% counterfeit. The bag is not authentic. Was the bag purchased on eBay from a seller or from an online selling website?
